K Chandrashekhar Rao the CM of telangana surprised the political circles today by announcing the dissolution if the state assembley. The move comes after he sent feelers for a non bjp non congress third front.He also went on to make silent overtures to bjp after the TDP n BJP breakup. Soon after the announcement he hit out at Congress virtually declaring it as opposition number one in the state.
The move from the Telanana strongmen comes as he positions himself to be a kingmaker, creating a situation where the polls would be held simultaneously with the general elections.
Its a masterstroke or gamble will be made clear when the elections take place. This move helps him consolidate and gather most share of seats in assembley and by making the elections simulatneous he will aim for as many as lok sabha seats to emerge as a force.
His mixed signals and fiddles with 3rd front and BJP lets him keep his options open for a post poll tie up. He has also stated that he will fight alone but made his friendship with MIM known, thus signalling minority communities that he stands with them.
This move by KCR will surely have larger ramifications for the state as well for the nation.
